Kalindi novel won 1st prize in PRATILIPI NOVEL WRITING CONTEST.
It is a story of bond between a father and daughter, where daughter fearlessly come out to her father about her sexuality. Ashok her father, living in orthodox small Indian town, accepts his daughter the way she is.
Kalindi knows her truth but she also knows the reality of Indian stereotype society, so she doesn't go announcing her sexuality or go in search of love or get desperate to experience her way of love with online dating apps or one-night stands. She fulfils her dream of being self-sufficient and providing her family everything that they lacked. It is a story of love, emotions, feelings and lots of romance, where Kalindi beautifully fall in love with Siddhi and patiently waits for her.
