About the Author

Usha Rani began writing Hindi poems at the age of 13. Over the years her poems acquired a deeply spiritual character, influenced by her immersion in the philosophy and practice of Jainism. While Usha's earlier published works were primarily on Jainism, the present collection (Beeti Vibhavari) brings together poems of general human interest, dealing with emotions, life crisis, urge for progress, etc. The poems originally in Hindi, have been translated into English by Anuradha and Shalini.

Usha Rani (b.1937) is based in Gurugram, India.
