Born in December 1942 in Srinagar, educated in Jammu & Kashmir University till 1959, passed degree engineering with Honours grade from Annamalai University south India in 1963, served J&K State till 2003, retired as Chief Engineer., worked in CIE Ltd. till 2008, Consultant, Chartered Engineer (India), Fellow Institution of Engineers India, Member Indian Road Congress, Member American Society of Civil engineers, authored over a dozen books on environment, history and religion, presented over 50 papers in seminars, traveled in India and abroad, free-lance writer.
