Description

A Book for All The initial event in one’s living is birth. It takes place without one’s consent. The final event in one’s living is death. I takes place knowingly or unknowingly, willingly or unwillingly. In between these initial and final events there will be a number of events happening in one’s living. These intermediate events decide the name, fame, social status, etc. in one’s living. The parents, the teachers, the family members, the others in the society and the individual himself/herself when matured sufficiently will be steering these intermediate events. The book provides hints for that steering to lead the required perceptive balanced living. • A book explaining multiple thoughts and concepts about Perceptive Balanced Living in a concise manner. • A book making you ponder over present and future modes of living. • A book steering you towards rational thinking of humanism and internationalism. • A book containing basic thoughts and concepts to be remembered, recollected and discussed. • A book to be read by people of all walks of living, invariably by all parents and teachers. • A book to be read slowly starting from anywhere of any chapter after reading the “Consider to Read This First”. • A book that adds value to your home and institution. • A book providing basic information for personal and social evolution.

About the Author

Chengalrayan was born in 1938, before the independence of India. He considered himself fortunate to have a father who was a highly ethical person and a B.A. graduate of that era. His father worked first in the forest department and then in various municipalities as a manager and commissioner. He passed away at the age of 49, leaving his family to face numerous difficulties. Despite these challenging circumstances, Chengalrayan graduated and worked as a high school teacher to support his family and save money for further education. After several years, he completed his post-graduation and M.Phil. in physics and began working as a lecturer at Besant Theosophical College. Throughout his life, Chengalrayan witnessed India's independence, experienced numerous ups and downs, observed the lives of thousands of students, endured many personal losses and triumphs, read hundreds of books, and saw the invention of transistors and the exponential growth of electronic devices. He held a strong ambition to propagate and popularize what he considered essential to all living. This ambition led him to conceive a book titled "The Perceptive Balanced Living -- An octogenarian's notebook," even though he did not consider himself a writer or a scholar.
