The Sidh Gosht is one of Guru Nanak’s most luminous compositions — a sacred dialogue between the Guru and the Nath yogis, the masters of austerity and occult powers. At Achal Batala, these yogis gathered to test him, questioning his path, his practice, and his claim to truth. Guru Nanak, without robes or rituals, responded with simplicity, depth, and love.
This dialogue, preserved in seventy-three stanzas, is more than a conversation of the past. It is a living teaching for the present. In the Siddhas we see our own restlessness — our search for powers, techniques, and shortcuts to liberation. In Guru Nanak we hear the eternal voice that redirects us to the heart: to Naam, to Sahaj, to love, to the Oneness that pervades all.
This book is not an academic translation. It is a devotional and yogic commentary, written to bring out the living essence of the Sidh Gosht for modern seekers. Each chapter flows with verses in transliteration, translations in plain English, and reflections that connect ancient wisdom with our contemporary struggles.
