Mrs. Harbans Kaur Pelia is presently living in Canada. Basically she is from Kapurthala, Punjab, India. From an early age she has been connected to cultural activities, especially the folklore stuff. She has been fond of singing folk songs and participating in folk dance, Giddha since her childhood. She has memorised 100s of folk songs, especially Suhag and Ghorhian, the Punjabi Wedding Songs for bride and groom. She has a collection of hundreds of Punjabi Bolian and Tappe which are the integral part of Punjabi Culture.
