Hema is a Senior Vice President in the technology division of a large US bank. An author at heart, she has had her articles published since the age of 11 years. Hema’s professional articles have been published online on various forums but this is her first attempt at writing a book. There couldn’t have been a topic better than Nico’s story for Hema to reconnect with her inner author as she is at her best when writing about things that really matter to her.

Hema was exceptionally touched by Cristiana’s story and originally wanted to write about Cristiana’s grit and strength in the face of such adversity. However, Cristiana had other plans and asked Hema to write about Nico. This book has been an emotional roller coaster for Hema as it wasn’t easy to find fun in the challenges that Nico has faced. There were times when Hema actually cried after writing a chapter as it was so stressful to think of Nico’s grave situation from the point of view of a child who would consider all the travails as nothing more than adult buffoonery.
