Metropolitan Paulos Mar Gregorios was a well-known philosopher and theologian of the past century. He believed that the mission of the Christian church has to be the same as the mission of Jesus Christ. An attempt is made here to find out how he exemplified this conviction in his own life. We are trying to find out if his vision and mission were the same as that of Jesus Christ? This study will be done by examining the vision and mission of Jesus Christ as the bishop understood it, and by examining the extent to which he could adapt it in his own context. This study seeks to clarify the fundamentals of Christian faith to the modern world, and also to challenge the modern followers of Jesus Christ to follow the example of Metropolitan Paulos Mar Gregorios.

About the Author

John D. Kunnathu is an educator and an author of several books. He had his higher studies in Linguistics, Literature, Education, and Religion. After being in Africa and in the US for over twenty-five years as an educator, he is now settled in Kottayam, India. His life experiences helped him develop a global outlook, which is clearly reflected in his work. He spreads the message of love and peace.
