In the older, northern part of Kolkata where old families carry out their intrigues and scheming in the narrow lanes and alleys, crime festers. The action moves between Mumbai’s frenetic commercial areas and equally frenetic night life, to Kolkata’s crumbling business district, swanky five-star hotels and tradition bound clubs. When his client, the wealthy stock broker, Provat Laha is found poisoned in his bed, and later when his ne’er-do-well son is also murdered in a similar manner, Orko has to use all his ingenuity to get to the bottom of the case.
