About translator:
Kathakali Mukherjee (born 1971) studied Sanskrit – Epigraphy and ancient Indian history in Calcutta University, India, but developed an interest in language and literary studies since her childhood. Her love for languages encouraged her to learn couple of European languages as well.
After a long stint as technical translator and general management professional with German and Indian companies, she decided publishing her translations of less known literary works of esteemed Bengali and German authors into English. Apart from translating, she writes short stories as well.
