Sri Krishna smiles enchantingly in her prayer room and she knows that He, who is the Supreme Divinity permeating creation, is also the ruler of her heart and life. Yet, she wonders if in the midst of her fast paced, modern life, her dream could ever be realized. Her dream, of making her life, a temple for her Lord, Sri Krishna.

The Lord's response to her barrage of questions, asked in the most loving intimate manner is a sublime silence. Softly she whispers to her divine beloved, "If You could go house to house to steal butter, I will also go house to house or should I say book to book, webpage to webpage, looking for the means and path to make my dream a reality."

Her search takes her to temples in Vrindavan, to an ashram in California, to Amma in Kerala. She searches within herself in the memories of her childhood. She searches in the Srimad Bhagavatam, through prayers, vows and introspection.

From time to time, her heart rises in sweet hope and light, only to plunge again into questions and tears. She wonders, "My Lord, can anything happen without Your divine will? Was I born in the wrong age, in the wrong place? How can I move forward, step by step, to make my life Your temple?"

"For if I cannot make it Your temple, my Lord, what use is this life of mine?"
