A Ph.D. from the University of Kentucky, Dr Laxmi Parasuram’s experience in the academic world spans 25 years as a Professor of English in India. She is the recipient of several American and British awards, including the Fulbright post-doctoral fellowship and is past president of the Indian Association of American Studies. An active member of Soroptimists International, she served on local and national committees of this global association of professional women. She has authored several academic papers and books since.
