The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ is not a record of the life of Jesus in the usual sense. It is not a gospel sanctioned by a church. It is not a translation of an ancient text. The Aquarian Gospel is of our age. And, at the same time, it is not. This gospel was published by Levi Dowling in 1908. It comes from his pen, but it also comes from beyond. The book has been praised as a source of light shone upon an otherwise clouded, protective, secretive, institutionalized and redacted narrative. Like William Buck’s Ramayana or Kahlil Gibran’s Jesus the Son of Man, The Aquarian Gospel is a spirited retelling – spirited because it is full of energy and life, but it is also “of the spirit,” genuine and fresh. If this gospel is a fiction, it is a fiction that reaches for a greater truth. And if it is truth, it is truth of a higher order. The full title of this book is "The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ: The Philosophic and Practical Bases of the Religion of the Aquarian Age of the World and of the Church Universal Transcribed from the Book of God's Remembrances Known as the Akashic Records." (This three volume series of The Aquarian Gospel is a part of the Realized Writers series. This is book nine of that series.)
