Air Commodore Manmohan Singh Duggal aka Manu Duggal was born in Rawalpindi during the troubled time of partition. The family migrated to Delhi leaving behind all its belongings in August 1947 and struggled with meagre resources but with a strong will to move on.
His schooling up to Higher Secondary was in a government school in Delhi. He joined National Defence Academy at the age of 16 as an Air Force cadet and was commissioned in the IAF in 1968. He served for 34 years in the IAF before superannuating in 2002.
While in service he continued his education and successfully completed MSc, BE (through Aeronautical Society of India) and MBA.
He graduated from writing occasional articles and stories to a serious story writer. He authored a book on anecdotes from his service life. With a passion to delve into the woes of the society, he has penned ‘Die for a Day and Other Stories’.
