Drawing from Wordsworth's quoted definition of poetry, I have always thought of poems as the aesthetic overflow of sensation. For years I had been searching for a way to end my pain and sorrow when one day I abruptly started writing. Giving birth to these creations was not an easy task. I have always felt that the limitations of language hindered the journey of my writing. But what succored my pen to move were the struggles I have had to face by virtue of being a woman. I used to wonder how authors managed to write but later I realised all you need is a pen, paper, emotions, imagination and inspiration in order to give life to words. My attention always turned to simple and elegant words, for I understood that greater craftsmanship is in the mastering simple words and I found myself moving away from the idea that grand words decide poetic success. I tried to turn those common sights of people, objects and events into my own creations with the colouring of the deeper insights of life and experience.
