Description
This book presents culture, schools of knowledge, values, and behaviors in relation to the environment. The presentation is scientific, and it is based on Vaishnava-Vedanta philosophy and culture. Other environmental texts are often not fully scientific in that they tend to minimize or omit the importance of culture, which is an observable phenomenon.
For several years in India, Mr. Wright studied Vaishnava culture, Sanskrit, Hindi, and Bengali under the guidance of Professor Ramakanta Chakravarti, Anantaram Sastri, Professor Tulsiram, Mahant Ballabh Lal Goswami, and others.
He became fluent in Persian while spending three years in Iran. There, he studied Islam, Sufism, and Zoroastrianism. He then expanded his knowledge of Islam during two years in Saudi Arabia.
He also worked for 25 years as an IT (Information Technology) consultant, retiring from IBM in 2005.
Since 2006, he has been researching, writing, and lecturing on the notion that essential aspects of Vaishnava culture provide solutions to environmental problems.
