Not all magic comes with sparkles.
Sometimes, it shows up quietly - in a crowded metro, a forgotten text, or a stranger you’ll never meet again.
Chasing Ordinary Magic is a collection of 29 true stories - lived, felt, and remembered.
Some are funny. Some are strange. Some are plain human. Some might just leave you smiling without knowing why.
These are moments that seemed ordinary - until they weren’t.
Through missed calls, misheard names, coincidences, crushes, and kindness, Middhisha opens the door to a world where the everyday becomes quietly unforgettable.
No fiction. No filters. Just the kind of magic that only real life can write.
If you’ve ever found meaning in a moment no one else noticed - this book is for you.
Rating: 5/5 — a quietly powerful, soul-nourishing read.
Middhisha’s Chasing Ordinary Magic is a luminous debut that invites readers to pause, reflect, and rediscover the hidden wonder woven into everyday life. With a storyteller’s heart and a poet’s sensitivity, she reminds us that magic isn’t always spectacular — sometimes it arrives quietly, through a passing glance, a half-remembered melody, or a moment of unexpected connection.
Each story in the collection feels like a whispered truth — intimate, emotional, and disarmingly honest. Middhisha masterfully captures the beauty of fleeting encounters, the ache of missed chances, and the silent power of almost knowing someone. Her prose is delicate yet vivid, painting emotional landscapes that stay with you long after the page is turned.
Middhisha offers us a powerful reminder: even in the most unassuming moments, there is magic waiting to be found.
CHASING ORDINARY MAGIC
A lovely collection of real moments that made me pause and reflect. For a new writer, Middhisha has done a really good job capturing everyday emotions. I just wish the chapters were a bit longer - they ended too soon. Still, the book leaves a gentle impact.
