An alumnus of the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, the National Defence Academy, Pune, and La Martiniere College, Lucknow, Mukul Deva served as an officer in the Sikh Light Infantry of the Indian Army. He was involved in active combat and counter-terror operations in India and abroad.

His early thrillers, the Lashkar series, consistently featured on bestseller lists in India from 2008 onwards. They were praised for their “crisply military logic” (Indian Express, 2010). When his books turned out to be prescient about terrorist attacks, The Statesman noted that ‘Deva has a Nostradamus touch’ (2009). His ‘gritty, fast-paced and unsubtle’ style established him as ‘a pioneer of military thrillers in India’ (The Guardian, 2014). Later, his Ravinder Gill series became an international phenomenon.

One Night Stand is Mukul Deva’s first thriller set in Singapore, where he has lived since 2009. He is an executive coach and mentor certified from the Henley Business School, University of Reading, and is one of Asia’s leading motivational and leadership speakers.
