Between Sand and Snow is a collection of essays written by a Malayali who grew up in the desert and someday dreamed of settling in the snow. Originally written as articles for the online platform PinkLungi, these essays have been edited and recompiled in the form of a collection of thoughts, spanning 5 years and a variety of topics such as NRI life, Malayalam cinema, student life in Canada, Malayalis and their relationship with parents/grandparents and much more. Each essay aims to either entertain, examine, enlighten or a mix of all three. Though written specifically for a Malayali audience, special care has been taken to ensure the essays are relevant to a global audience.
