Currently in his late seventies and leading a peaceful retired life in Delhi, Narayanan Vadakkemadhom (V. S. Narayanan) has had a relatively moderate career in the public and private sectors, at Kochi in Kerala and New Delhi. Writing has been a hobby for him and he has over two dozen pieces to his credit, original skits in English/English translations of Malayalam short stories by other authors, published in a variety of newspapers and periodicals. He is an M.Com. and M.A. (Philosophy) from the University of Delhi and is also an Associate Member of The Institute of Company Secretaries of India.

‘The Bachelor at Large and Other Stories’ is the first compilation in book form from Narayanan Vadakkemadhom.
