This book exists because Bengal once existed in courage, thought, and conscience.

I acknowledge the countless known and unknown Bengali freedom fighters who chose sacrifice over silence. Their lives were short, but their impact was eternal.

I acknowledge the thinkers, poets, reformers, and spiritual voices of Bengal—Rabindranath Tagore, Kazi Nazrul Islam, Lalon Fakir, and many others—who taught us that freedom is incomplete without awareness.

I acknowledge today’s youth of Bengal, not as failures, but as heirs who were never properly told what they inherited.

And finally, I acknowledge Bengal itself—wounded, misunderstood, and yet endlessly alive.
