Nigam was born in a Telugu family and brought up near Chennai. He has fluency in both Telugu and Tamil languages. He has a great interest in the culture and the diversity in India. As he was brought up in a non-native state where the culture, customs, language and people all are entirely different, he had this amusement of how varied the people are within a 200 kilometer radius. He also has prominence in oratory and debate competitions mostly in Tamil language. He got his Bachelor degree in Mechanical engineering and is now working at a Multinational company. He was inspired by his late maternal grandfather Mr.Subba Sastry who was a great poet and writer, even though the latter died long before the former was born, he aspires to continue the legacy of his grandfather.
