"Cold Obsidian" is a fantasy novel about a young mortal who becomes an apprentice of the creators of his world.

The story is set in the world, Omnis, where magic must be stabilized by artificial means, otherwise, humans can't use it. There are two stabilizers (see the map) that cover most of the continent but cancel each other in the middle of it. There lies a territory known as the No Man's Land, a land of wild, unstable magic and magical anomalies.

One day, an unknown thief steals one of the stabilizers and the No Man's Land begins to grow...
