Prasanta Sarkar is an author, a professional blogger, and an employee in an IT company. He is known as a global apparel blogger for his well-known apparel blog Online Clothing Study.
He started writing one decade ago while working in an apparel management consulting firm in India. Since then, he has been writing regularly and publishing blog posts on his blog. In the year 2011, he launched the blog Online Clothing Study (www.onlineclothingstudy.com) and since then he is sharing his learning through his notes and articles. He helped learners to become knowledgeable and informed in the field of apparel manufacturing and apparel supply chain.
He has a B.Tech. degree in Textile Technology from Calcutta University. After completing his post-graduation in a fashion technology course at the National Institute of Fashion Technology, New Delhi, he joined a garment manufacturing and export house. In that export house, he joined as one of the first employees and managed the new factory setup project for making knitted items. He participated in purchasing machines, setting up production floors, and designing line layouts for the production floor.
