The ‘A call to 1.25 billion children of Mother India’ is an inspirational work and starts with a motivational poem. The book aims to motivate every section of society to contribute to the growth of the nation and lists numerous ways of doing so.First 30-40 odd pages are enough to catch reader’s attention and sincerity. Reader is caught to go deeper by the emotions generated by the initial set of data provided. At this point, I would also like to mention that the book is full of data comparing India to rest of the world across centuries, but again the data is not overwhelming and soothes into reader’s mind as the book progresses. The Book makes some really strong points and provides alternate views of looking at beggars and low income families. Almost all of us are of the opinion that low income families are themselves to be blamed for their situation but the author thinks otherwise and believes that the country can progress rapidly only if a chain reaction of contribution to environment, society, industry is triggered. The author citing numerous personal examples makes some very strong points about the values of current society and corruption which will be etched in the memory for a long time. The book is very organized, well structured and making readers identify their takeaways out of a motivational book cannot be done in a simpler way.Overall this is a must read for every Indian, especially youth, as they will be able to cherish the developed India and will have the opportunity to be a part of the process of development.
