The present volume is the fourth in the ‘Teachers’ Muse’ series of creative writings by teachers of English from all over India. In their imaginative flights, the teacher-artists take a creative look at their teacherly world and the mundane work to unravel emotions, experiences, feelings and human spirit hidden within. The poems and stories in this collection continue the efforts of previous volumes at making a better sense of the self, society and world as they appear in the microcosms called the school, the classroom and beyond. The ‘Teachers’ Muse’ series aims at providing space for exploring and interpreting the educational enterprise through a creative, mostly fictional lens, thereby complimenting the ‘academic research’ perspectives on it.
