Time is the first pre-requisite for existence, because existence implies persistence and that can only be measured in time. Space comes later. Time is also necessary for the evolution of a society because all change is a function of time. This primacy of time is reflected in the concept of Mahākāl, or MegaChron, and in the titles of these three novels.

In Indic phraseology, tantra is knowledge, a yantra is a device to delineate this knowledge and a mantra is the code that unlocks both the tantra and its yantra. In an attempt to recreate this framework, the first novel Chronotantra defines the contours of a new, technology-based society; the second, Chronoyantra, explores a device used to investigate the genesis of this society, while this third novel, Chronomantra finally reveals the code, the key, that unlocks this puzzle.
