Purnima holds a Bachelors degree in Education (with distinction) from the prestigious Central Institute of Education (CIE), Delhi University, as well as a Masters degree in Education with specialization in Advanced Techniques of Instruction. A learning design professional for over twenty years, she has presented papers at conferences organized by reputed institutions, such as Civil Service College, Singapore, and Ministry of Defence, Australia. Papers authored by her on E-Learning and Instructional Design have been published by reputed publications, such as ASTD and ISPI (USA) and Training Journal (UK).
Purnima is a recognized globally as an expert in Blended Learning, and is among the most frequently-cited authors by other scholars in this field as per research conducted by the department of Instructional Psychology and Technology, Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah, USA.
Purnima has trained a number of teachers in Blended Learning, and ICT-integration practices. Her extensive experience in designing technology-enabled learning on K-12 projects for schools in India, and government departments in a few South Asian countries has enriched her understanding of how instructional design and technology ought to be integrated in K-12, which she has captured in this book.
