Sri Ramendra Chandra Ganguli, resident of Bengaluru, was born at Kolkata in 1937, with a permanent disability in his left hand and left leg. He started walking quite late at the age of 4 years. He ignored all the ridicules and physical suffering and concentrated on his studies; passed the I. Com examination in 1953, went for CA course and graduated (B. Com) simultaneously. He worked very hard; self-studied at home in the early morning hours, worked rigorously on articleship/training throughout the day and attended B. Com classes in the night. He finished B. Com in 1955 and passed the CA exam in 1956 at the age of 19 years.
