এক বছর পর আবার কলেজে ভর্তি হওয়া, হায়ার সেকেন্ডারি পাসের পর কলকাতায় পাতাল রেলের কাজে এবং কখনো খবরের কাগজ ফেরী, কখনো গ্রীল কারখানার কাজে যুক্ত৷ এক বছর পরে আবার বঙ্কিম সরদার কলেজে বিএ প্রথম বর্ষে ভর্তি হওয়া৷ বাড়ি থেকে প্রায় ৩০ কিলোমিটার দূরে কলেজ। হোস্টেলে না পাওয়ায় পড়াশোনা বন্ধ৷ পরে ডিসটান্স থেকে স্নাতক৷ এরপর থেকে মাতলা- পিয়ালী - ঠাকুরানী নদীতে মাছ - কাঁকড়া ধরার কাজে যুক্ত, ১৯৮৬ সালে বিবাহ বন্ধনে আবদ্ধ৷ ওই সময় থেকে বামপন্থী আন্দোলনের সাথে সমাজসেবায় যোগ দেওয়া৷ এবং এই সময় কাল থেকে একটি ক্লাব সংগঠন তৈরী করে পরিবেশ দুষনের বিরুদ্ধে সচেতন এবং গ্রাম উন্নয়নে ও কৃষিতে বিকল্প চাষে উচ্চফলনশীল বীজের ব্যবহার-উন্নত প্রযুক্তির প্রয়োগে সচেতন শিবীর করি নিমপীঠ কৃষি বিজ্ঞানের সহায়তায়৷ ২০১০ সালে প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয়ে শিক্ষকতা কাজে নিযুক্ত৷
স্কুলজীবনে কবিতা লেখার ইচ্ছা থাকলেও আর্থিক ও বিভিন্ন কারণে বন্ধ হয়ে যায়। মাধ্যমিক পর্যন্ত ওয়াল ম্যাগাজিনে কয়েকটি কবিতা প্রকাশ পায়। ২০১৪ সাল থেকে আকাশবাণীর পত্রসাহিত্য প্রাত্যহিকী বিভাগে লেখা শুরু। সুন্দরবন দর্পণ নামে একটি সাহিত্য পত্রিকা সম্পাদনার কাজে রত৷ কবিতা, গল্প, প্রবন্ধ লিখতে মনোনিবেশ করা। ইতিমধ্যে বহু পত্রিকাতে লেখা প্রকাশ হয়েছে৷ একটি আঞ্চলিক ইতিহাস প্রকাশ হয়েছে। এবং কবিতা গল্প প্রবন্ধ সংকলন প্রকাশের পথে৷ সেই থেকে সাহিত্যচর্চা চলে আসছে৷ বাড়িতে সাহিত্যের আসর বসে৷ আমৃত্যু সাহিত্য রসের মধ্যে ডুবে থাকার বাসনা নিয়ে বেঁচে থাকা।
