Description
Students to employees, employees to leaders.
This path is riddled with the encounters of finding one’s self, setting ambitions, moving to new places, falling in and out of love, fretting over low bank balances, seeking out mentors, and growing into influential figures. Today’s working world comes with its own share of complexities, and to add to them, being young.
Young @ Work is a book about the journey of a 20-something-year-old, navigating their role as a working individual and striving to be heard above the noise. From moving across conference tables and countries, Rashmi Mutt paints a vivid picture of what it’s like to be Young @ Work, and how these individuals will ultimately become the leaders of tomorrow.
Rashmi is a lover of people, business, and technology. She lives out loud and enjoys penning down experiences from her work in the corporate field, her travels, and conversations with interesting folks along the way. ‘There is no business without emotion’ – she believes, and so her writing seeks to humanize leadership and business experiences for everyone.
An ace conversationalist, Rashmi thrives on getting to know people and their stories.
Rashmi was born in Framingham, Massachusetts, and moved to Bangalore, India when she was 7 years old. She went on to study in Pune, Maharashtra and worked as a Consultant for 3 years in Mumbai (arguably her favorite city in the world). She then moved to Durham, North Carolina, to get her MBA from Duke’s Fuqua School of Business, where she served as the VP of Communications with the MBA Association – a role perfect for her! Post her graduation in May 2023, she moved to Boston, Massachusetts, to work as a Strategy Consultant. A full circle indeed.
The Sagittarius in her makes her adventurous, curious, fearless, and witty. She surrounds herself with lots of friends and family and would do anything for the people she loves. Find more of her writing on Instagram or LinkedIn!
