About the Author

Prakash Bhide Ph.D. has over 40 years of rich experience in industry-multinational companies and large reputed business houses in India. He is a Mechanical Engineer from world-renowned IIT BOMBAY and has a Ph.D. in Human Resources on ‘Leadership” from the reputed XLRI Jamshedpur (Harvard of India). He has wide experience in manufacturing, TQM, and Heading a Business, and is a well a renowned thought leader in Human Resources, Leadership Development, Strategic Talent Management, HR Strategy, Executive Coaching, Mentoring, and he has teaching experience at Bombay University for more than 15 years for Executive MBA Program.

He made a successful mid-career change at the age of 45 from Manufacturing and Operations to Human Resources. He then completed his Ph.D. He quickly climbed to the position of the Group President of Human Resources for JK GROUP ($2 Billion turnover and 13 Group Companies with 22,000 employees) and made outstanding contributions to the group for 10 years. He also contributed to the Human Resources Profession at the National and International Levels. He has been a senior advisor to the JKO group to date and is an independent director the on board.

Prakash completed the Marshall Goldsmith Executive Coaching Program in 2008 and successfully implemented the Marshall Goldsmith Stakeholder Coaching Methodology to lead the initiative to coach the Leadership Team of 120 JK Group CEOs, CXOs, and Emerging high-potential Leaders resulting in JK Group being honored and awarded the ICF PRISM AWARD for coaching in 2014, the first company in India to receive this renowned award. He successfully completed in 2005 the Michigan Ross School of Business Advanced Human Resource Executive Program with 60 CHROs of Global Companies. Translating the learnings from the Michigan course in collaboration with Prof Richard Bettey of Michigan and Rutger University, he successfully implemented the “Differentiated Workforce Model” in JK Tyres, JK Paper, and JK Laxmi Cement businesses with outstanding profit improvement.

Prakash was honored with the highest award of ‘Fellowship of the All India Management Association of India’. He is a ‘Certified International Executive Coach’ by the renowned Joseph O’Conner, a Past President of the National HRD Network of India, Mumbai Chapter, and a Board member at the National HRD Network national body. He has been the author of many articles in reputed journals and the handbook of the Centre of Creative Leadership, USA. He is an Independent Director on the Board of some companies, a renowned HR consultant, and a sought-after keynote speaker who specializes in Executive Coaching and Mentoring and coached more than 100 CEOs, CXOs, and Young Executives.
