S P Kashyap, also known as Sri, is an Indian writer who lives in Melbourne, Australia. She explores the intricacies of human relationships, and draws inspiration from everyday interactions. She is a mental health enthusiast whose work often explores the intensity of everyday emotions. Her love for her research lead her to pursuing a professional Psychotherapy course, to dive in deeper and understand the complexities of human psychology - a passion sparked by years of writing and research
When she’s not writing, Sri works with her sister’s skincare brand, where she manages branding and promotion. And, she also enjoys crocheting, painting, pampering her cat Mizu, and gently (or not-so-gently) bothering her husband of 14 years.
As of 2025, she has authored two works of fiction—The Long Lost & Other Stories (2020) and 10 Days with Franklin Benson (2025).
Her debut novella presents five stories of women from across India’s diverse landscapes, confronting personal challenges, each marked by emotional depth and strength. While her latest novel takes place almost entirely within a therapy room, examining the blurred lines between connection, truth, and vulnerability.
