PREFACE

I am delighted to have got an opportunity to document and edit the details of my father’s “Sathabhishekam” conducted four years ago. It is a great honour for me to co-author this book along with him. It is more than a privilege to chronicle all the happenings associated with the function.

I have great joy in bringing to your notice that my father Mr.S.Sankara Subrahmanyan became a proud recipient of post-graduate degree, at the age of 76! As a septuagenarian, he worked hard and obtained his dream M.A degree from the Madurai Kamaraj University. We are in awe of him for this feat!

He is acquainted with sacred texts and Carnatic music. He is very good at Mathematics too. He is also proficient in English, Tamil and Sanskrit. He even has to his credit “Kovidha” certificate from “Samskruta Bharati”!
