ABOUT THE TITLE -
With the support of the crowd funding, last year in August 2024, I attended a Jam in Europe called "The Legits Blast" and Out Break Europe. In the jam I saw people from 96 countries inspiring and connecting with eachother, beyond all the differences.
Which inspired me to study the spirit of Hip Hop. I started with KRS ONE's "The Gospel of Hip Hop" book.
After getting deeply inspired by KRS ONE's "The Gospel of Hip Hop", and by a few other writings and documentaries on Hip Hop, I started writing the book "Exploring a Wider and Deeper Perspective of Hip Hop", towards the end of November 2024.
I know the title is big, but it aligns with my intention. The term Wider and Deeper is inspired by a song called "Return to Life" written by my dear friend Les. One of the lines in the song says, " Fellowship has no boundary, it goes wide and it goes deep, connecting us to life around, for the balance we must keep. "
I strongly feel that, if any subject is picked up in the universe, and studied widely and deeply, it reveals it's close connections with all of that exists in the universe. There is no such thing as something disconnected and existing separately.
So when you dive in Hip Hop widely and deeply,  you will see how it is closely connected with knowing the self, the environment, human education, spirituality (to enhance the sense of spirit), philosophy, you just name any topic and you can find Hip Hop.

EXPERIENCE OF THE PROCESS -
Writing a book was completely a new experience for me. An out of box experience.
I am not used to sitting for long hours in front of a laptop and working. I have missed my meals and I have immersed myself in the process for hours like - 10, sometimes 12, sometimes 15.
I have found myself totally occupied with the thoughts about the content.
I slept with it, I dreamt with it, I woke up with it, I ate with it, I did my breakdance training with it, literally I was breathing with it.

WHAT MOVED ME TO WRITE THIS BOOK ?  
Of course love, but also sadness.
I am sad about the image of Hip Hop which is prevailing in the society. I am also sad to see many of the Hip Hop artists, moving with Hip Hop with a smaller vision, which boosts their sense of superiority in comparison with others.

ABOUT THE TECHNICALITIES -
I am not trained by any institute as a writer.
Also, I am not a regular reader, I doubt my ability of writing in English language, and it doing justice to a book, in terms of technicalities.
My Hindi is also not that good to write this book in Hindi.
This Book has purely come out of my burning Passion to share something with the world, which has deeply touched me.
So while reading my book, you will find here and there, the poor quality of language technicality. But I have written the book with clear intention to connect with my readers, majorly with emotions and with the understanding that we hold as humans, beyond all the differences.
