हिंदी फिल्म जगत में संगीत के सुनहरे दौर में वैसे तो अनेकों गीतकार हुए लेकिन उनसे से ज्यादातर ने अपनी भाषा में उर्दू को प्रमुखता दी ऐसे दौर में साहित्यिक हिंदी में गीत लिखना कितनी बड़ी चुनौती रही होगी आज इसका अंदाजा लगाना बेहद मुश्किल है। उस दौर में कवि प्रदीप , पंडित नरेंद्र शर्मा जैसे गीतकारों में से एक थे पंडित भरत व्यास जिनकी कलम से लिखे गीतों ने प्रसिद्धि के विराट गगन को स्पर्श किया। उनके गीत जैसे 'ऐ मालिक तेरे बन्दे हम', 'आधा है चन्द्रमा' इत्यादि आज भी किसी परिचय के मोहताज नहीं हैं।

Although there were many lyricists in the golden era of music in the Hindi film world, most of them gave prominence to Urdu in their poetry. In that period, one of the lyricists like Kavi Pradeep, Pandit Narendra Sharma, was Pandit Bharat Vyas, whose songs reached new heights of fame. His songs like 'Ae Malik Tere Bande Hum', 'Adha Hai Chandrama' etc. do not need any introduction even today.
This is a most unique, complete and authentic book ever on Pandit Bharat Vyas's films, in which information about all his films, posters of all films, his biography, non-film songs and much more rare information has been given in addition to his songs. Very few books are available on the lyricists of Hindi films, Pandit Bharat Vyas filmography 'Tujhe Mere Geet Bulata Hai' is presented to bridge this gap.

About the Author

Sanjeev Tanwar is a native of Delhi. After completing his school and college
education, he joined the Shri Ram Centre For Arts And Culture in 1996 to
pursue his keen interest in theatre and writing. In 1998, he earned his diploma
in acting. He has translated many important works of English literature into
Hindi - 'The Time Machine' (H G Wells), 'Man & Superman' (G B Shaw),
'Adolf Hitler' (James Bunting), 'Anthony and Cleopatra (Shakespeare),
'Old Man & The Sea' (Earnest Hemingway). While at the Shri Ram Centre,
he wrote the play 'Chuna Ek Murga Beeti' based on a short story by Sharad
Joshi. His other dramatic works include - 'Hitler, Ek Marta Hua Sapna',
'The Court is Adjourned', 'Kishnuli' (based on a story by Shivani), 'Lolita'
(based on the novel by the same name by Vladimir Nabokov). As an ardent
lover of cinema, he has to his credits the compilation 'Tujhe Mere Geet
Bulate Hain' (2015), a complete filmography of Bharat Vyas, and two books
on Hindi Film posters, 'Pictorial Journey of Hindi Cinema 1939',
'Pictorial Journey of Hindi Cinema 1940', and 'Silent Cinema In India 1913 – 1934
When Silence Spoke In Celluloid'.

मूल रूप से दिल्ली निवासी संजीव तंवर ने अपनी स्कूली शिक्षा पूरी करने के बाद रंगमंच में अपनी गहरी रूचि को देखते हुए 1996 मे दिल्ली दिल्ली के श्रीराम सेंटर ऑफ आर्ट्स एंड कल्चर मे दो वर्ष के डिप्लोमा कोर्स में हिस्सा लिया और वहां से नाट्य कला मे डिप्लोमा हासिल किया। इसके उपरांत उन्होंने नाटक लेखन के अलावा अंग्रेजी की कई क्लासिक कृतियों का हिंदी अनुवाद किया जैसे द टाइम मशीन (एच जी वेल्स ) , मैन एंड सुपरमैन (जी बी शॉ ) , अडोल्फ हिटलर (जेम्स बंटिंग ) , एंटोनी एंड क्लियोपैट्रा (शेक्सपियर ) , ओल्ड मन एंड द सी (अर्नेस्ट हेमिंग्वे) इनके अलावा उन्होंने कई नाटक जैसे शरद जोशी की लघु कथा पर चुनाव एक मुर्गा बीती, शिवानी की कहानी पर किशनूली, व्लादिमीर नबोकोव के उपन्यास पर लोलिता एवं कोर्ट इस अड्जॉर्नेड जैसे मूल नाटक लिखे। हिंदी सिनेमा से गहरे लगाव के चलते उन्होंने भरत व्यास की फिल्मोग्राफी तुझे मेरे गीत बुलाते हैं लिखी और इसके अलावा हिंदी फिल्म पोस्टर्स पर दो पुस्तकें pictorial Journey of Hindi Cinema 1939 एवं pictorial Journey of Hindi Cinema 1940 का संकलन किया। हाल ही में हिंदी सिनेमा पर उनकी पुस्तक Silent Cinema in India (1913 -1934) प्रकाशित हुई है।
