ARLENG is an ethnolinguistic study on Karbi (also known as 'Arleng', 'Mikir' or sometimes as 'Amri Karbi' in Kamrup Metropolitan district of Assam) ethnic community in the northeastern India. A brief illustration of migration route of the community given in the beginning chapters. The later parts illustrates the language and it's dialects classified into two major parts. The manner of difference are noted out for the purpose of unification of the dialects into a standard language. For this purpose, a series of alphabets and numerals is proposed for writing Karbi language. In the end chapter the whole book is summarized with author's appeal to recognise the alphabet and numeral series created.
