Satya Gopal Sarkar (November 25, 1915 - January 08, 2000) was a Bengali writer who wrote mostly for children. Many of his stories and poems were published in several well-known Bengali children's magazines, including "Sandesh", "Shishusathi", "Randhanu", and "Jajabor". His published books are “Jiban Kathi” (a fantasy/adventure story – Roopkatha), "Bhromorer Chokhe Jol" (a collection of poems), “Ramdhanu” (a collection of poems), and ”Teenranga” (a collection of poems, drama and stories).
Hemanta Kumar Sarkar is a writer and science editor. He has edited and published several books written by his father, Satya Gopal Sarkar. He has also authored a collection of Bengali poems (“Shesh Chithir Uttor”). He is a former scientist and professor.
