The poet, adopted a defficult Makutam “Raghava” in this Raghava Satakam. (a collection of a 100+ verses). Used 108 Chandus varieties one for each poem. Not only that praised Rama with each of 108 names asper RamAstottaraSataNamavali. Every poem is gem. It is not a small feat. The tradition of beginning a work with the auspicious syllable “Sri” is beautifully upheld, with the first word “Srimanmangala” signifying universal well-being. As this is a highly respected Shataka, it begins with a “prayer” and concludes with a “Phalashruti” following time-honored customs. The composition took over a year, a testament to the dedication involved. Though it was a demanding task, the outcome proved deeply rewarding.
Just as the “Sumati Shataka” and “Dasharathi Shataka” it is hoped that this “Raghava Shataka” will cherish across generations, Thanks to the grace of Nallanayya.
