Sergei Vladimirovich Perelyaev (1978-2021) wrote stories and poems of lasting value. The noted writer Marina Moskvina describes him, borrowing a Japanese expression, as "a treasure for humanity".

Sergei graduated from the Journalism Faculty of Moscow State University, was a member of Moscow Writers' Union, edited for a while the journal "Cheburashka" (this journal is named after a fictional character created by the famous writer Eduard Uspensky), and also worked as an anchor/compere on Public Russian Radio. In 2008, he was awarded the literary prize "Zavyetnaya mechta" ("Cherished dream"). His book "Indian cinema" won him the "Eureka" prize in the category of "Children's literature". -Prof. R.D.
