About the Author

An alumni of the Rashtriya Indian Military College, Dehra Dun. Commissioned in the Indian Army, in Gorkha Rifles in 1967. Volunteering for paratrooping, he joined the elite Parachute Regiment and participated in paratrooping operation during the war for liberartion of Bangladesh in 1971 ( account in the book Liberation Bangladesh 1971 - Bloomsbury India ). He pioneered skydiving as a sport. Created the Indian Skydiving Institute at Agra in 1979 alongwith his wife Chantal, a French skydiver. Thereafter, he settled in business in France before retiring in 2008.
