Young and hopelessly romantic Scarlet has finally decided she has found ‘THE ONE’ in her high school sweetheart Caleb. However, after what seems as a picture-perfect romance to the outside world, Scarlet discovers a darker side to her supposedly model boyfriend. His testosterone filled body that yearned for sex leads to a series of unfortunate events in their lives. Also, on going public with their relationship, parental pressures and distances force them further apart.
They are bombarded with signs that they are meant to be together. Now both adults, Scarlet and Caleb choose to ignore the signs and make a conscious effort to move on by getting on with their lives, in an attempt to forget each other . After years of going their own separate ways one instance brings them both together and Caleb begins to question his feelings for Scarlet.
This very epiphany results in a turn of occurrences that ultimately change their entire lives forever...
Pretty cool book. Specially for teenagers, because we are the ones who are confused and dramatized about the fact of love. Yes, while it is a mainstream romantic novel, it does touch your heart in the most amazing way. As you read through the book, you feel sad for the protagonist. While the writer has tried to portray emotions of every character equally there are a couple who you personally fall in for, their words. Excusing a couple of small things, considering it is the first book of the author and that she is only seventeen. I personally liked the book, and am going to keep it in my cupboard, rather than lending it. Cause of the personal connection I've developed.
Re: The Labyrinth Of Love
amazing book. amazing poetry. Made me and my sister cry. I guess its one of those books where you get attached to the characters. The sheer emotion and the tragically beautiful end is just..i have no words. Epic job.
