Mr. U.P. Mishra has been a student of astrology and a practicing astrologer for nearly 40 years.
He started as a civil engineer and has served the Indian Railways with distinction for about
four decades in various capacities – largely in ultrasonic. He did his management degree (Indian
Railways) and also served as a lecturer in the Railway training institute at Sini-Jharkhand. He
retired from active service in the year 2002 as an Executive Engineer with the South Eastern
Railways.
He is a self-taught astrologer and has a large and loyal fan following. He runs a very successful
YouTube channel and regularly appears on television on the Jamshedpur network –‘Inside
Jharkhand’ – in India. His lectures are especially loved for their detailed yet simple astrological
analysis in layman terms and with modern interpretations. He lays great emphasis on ‘Nakshatra
Siddhanta’ amongst other ‘Parashari rules’.

Mr. Shivesh Mishra started learning astrology from his father and guru, Mr. U. P. Mishra, as a
teenager. He started in good earnest – in the spirit of ‘Guru Shishya Parampara’ in 1989 to carry
on the tradition. Shivesh holds a degree in mechanical engineering from BIT Mesra and is an
MBA Finance from IIM Bangalore.
For over 25 years, he has been a student of the subject and has been assisting his father U. P.
Mishra with astrological research and consultations. He helps out with content and channel
management of their YouTube channel.
Shivesh has held senior positions with MNCs, being an active corporate professional. He does
independent research in his areas of interest – finance, new-age professions, human relationships
and psychographics.
