PREFACE
Every year many species, both big and small are all wiped out from the face of the earth. Today, the tiger is one of the species to reach a critical stage in its existence in the wild.
Through genetic manipulation man can now farm tigers. So, what does the future hold for the wild tiger?
Many individuals and organisations are putting in lots of efforts to save the wild tiger. But, are these efforts enough? What about us, the common people? Are we not all concerned with the demise of the tiger? Do we just stand on the side-lines and silently watch the wild tiger disappear forever?
This book also suggests some strategies to protect the tiger.
Who can watch our backyard better than ourselves? Similarly, who can protect the tiger better than the people who have lived alongside it?
This book provides entertaining reading and at the same triggers some thinking about the fate of the magnificent tigers, and by extension, the fate of wildlife in the world today.
Last month i got this book online.!!
And, the way my son took interest in your book was beyond expectation!! Serious issue like poaching is explained in very fascinating and descriptive way. Good Going Mr Chetty!!! :)
Somduth C. Chetty has managed to bring to notice a highly critical issue with this book. Although the fictional story brings numerous twists and turns, yet the motive of reducing the problem of Tiger Hunting becomes clear, and this is why I congratulate him for writing such a wonderful book.
I happened to read this book as I was attracted by the title. The author seems to have researched the topic on conservation of tigers and put his pen to paper to bring out what I could call as an ode to tiger conservation. Though the book claims to be entirely fictitious, it shows glimpses of reality on how tigers are being poached unscrupulously around the world, especially in India, driving them to near extinction, The book is an easy read and written nicely. One can actually emote with the characters. There is a bit of everything in the book - thriller, adventure, romance, comedy and drama. It looks that this book is the maiden venture of the author Somduth Chetty and I am confident that he would bring out many more to delight his readers.
Notable Work..
Good Work Mr Chetty!! As a wild life photographer, after reading your book I find that you lift the curtain from the horrible truth of poaching..and its consequences that our future generation might have to face.. if this malpractice will not be stopped.
