Listening to radio has been the author's favourite pastime since childhood. From early 21st century, with the arrival of the personal computer and the traditional mobile phone, he took his hobby to the next level, that is, he started making transcripts of radio and television programmes that were somehow related to film music. The transcribed information mostly comprises of biographies and interviews of artists, transcripts of programmes presented by them, and record of trivia and interesting incidents related to the making of film songs, and other additional details.
Over the years, the number of transcripts crossed the thousandth mark. The information base thus created is massive. This book is the second Volume of the Series entitled ‘Radio Transcripts’ that includes transcripts of Aaj Ke Fankaar programmes broadcast over Vividh Bharati Service (VBS).

Sujoy Chatterjee is a Telecommunications Engineer working as a Senior Solutions Architect in a leading MNC based out of Kansas, USA. He has completed Master of Engineering in Telecommunications from Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand. Prior to that, he has been a gold medalist in Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Assam Engineering College, Guwahati, India.
His passion towards radio listening and Hindi film music have led him to create a ‘never-heard-before’ compilation of a thousand radio programme transcripts. He is a Hindi podcaster and blogger associated with Radio Playback India (RPI) and have hosted many popular shows over the past decade such as Old is Gold, Cine Paheli, Taaza Sur Taal, Tujhse Naaraaz Nahin Zindagi, Swarna Smriti, Chitrakatha and many others. His current audio podcast series Ek Geet Sau Afsaane on Spotify has crossed 130 episodes. More than sixty Akashvani announcers across the country have so far narrated the scripts written by him for this series.
His first book, ‘Caravan Cine Sangeet Ka – Utpatti Se Swaraaj Ke Vihaan Tak’, published in 2012 by Yash Publishers, Delhi, was an attempt to put forward the history of Hindi film music of the pre-independence era (1931 to 1947).
For his contribution towards popularizing Hindi over the Internet, Hind-Yugm, the renowned Hindi publisher of Delhi had conferred upon him their ‘Lokapriya Gopinath Bardolai Hindi Sevi Sammaan 2011’ award.
