Hello fellow readers!!
I am a sixteen-year-old youth (as of Dec 2022) studying in Grade 11 at Vasant Valley School, New Delhi, India. I call myself a food aficionado. Having traveled extensively across the world, as well as across almost the whole of India, I have developed a robust understanding of what sets food apart in each of these places.
Academically, I am driven by my love for Economics, Business and Mathematics. Hailing from a triumphant family business background, I have always indulged in intellectually stimulating conversations around business, international trade relations, global affairs, economic performance, et al with family and friends over dinner, social gatherings, and otherwise.
During the Covid-19 Pandemic, I was anguished by the adverse effect of lockdowns on the hospitality industry. A lot of my favourite restaurants that I had childhood memories of visiting frequently had shut down indefinitely. Said that, quite a few new restaurants also opened in line with the 'new normal' norms and continued to grow. Some of the pre-existing ones pivoted their business models or evolved with the new expectations of the post-Covid patronizers.
This encouraged me to deep dive into understanding the recent trends. Through active perseverance and persuasion, I became successful in holding interviews with some restauranteurs and other stakeholders in the hospitality industry, and I decided to collate my analyses and present them in this book.
