Prince of Naraka
A spark of rebellion. A stolen goddess. And the rise of a prince born to end empires.
The resistance against the Devan conquerors spreads—but the gods have begun to notice. As Ravan and his rebel allies fight to unify the five shattered kingdoms of Naraka, darker forces stir beneath jungle roots and mountain shrines. In the haunted mines of Ayasapur and the serpentine palaces of Nagapura, something sacred is held hostage—and someone sacred is awakened.
Surpanakha, once a healer, now walks the night with poisoned blades and mantras of death. Harsha returns home to the Peaks to marshal his kin. And the Queen of the Bhramari—she who commands monster bees—stirs in her sleep.
As the Underground prepares for open war, betrayal coils like a serpent in the shadows. Magic once lost reawakens. And the stolen goddess will not remain silent.
From Sundar Nathan, acclaimed author of Ravan’s Trial and Demons & Their Gods, comes Prince of Naraka—a bold continuation of the epic that reimagines myth as revolution.
For fans of epic rebellion, sacred monsters, and mythologies where even the gods can bleed.
Finally, book 3!!
Couldn't wait for the 3rd book in the cycle. Like the peverious two, it's so rich in detail, character development, and little easter eggs foretelling plot twists. The story builds up to a crescendo, and the battle scenes are carefully crafted. I'm not of Indian descent but I was captivated by the references and language to such a point that I can only imagine what East-Indians will make of it. Nathan is as master of language and tension to infuse his characters and scenes in a way you will not find elsewhere.
