Sunita Singh hails from Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. Presently She is working as Assist. Chief Electoral Officer, Uttar Pradesh in lucknow. She is post graduate in economics from Banaras Hindu University. She loves to write poetry (free verses, rhyming poetry, ghazals, nazm, doha, geet, navgeet etc.) stories, short stories, fictions and motivational articles in both Hindi and English language. She likes to read more about the great Hindi Literary Legends like Mahadevi Verma, Maithilisharan gupt, Suryakant tripathi nirala etc. Besides them, Gulzar, Faiz Ahmed, Ghalib, Amrita pritam and so on.
Till date, her 16 books have been published in both languages Hindi and English. These books include hindi and english poetry, song, ghazals, short stories, children's books etc. Three books are in the publishing process including historical fiction.
She has been awarded with many prestigious awards including Sumitranandan Pant Puraskar, 2019-20,(cash Prize of one lac), Soor Puraskar, 2018, (cash prize of 75000/-), Sahitya Praikrama Samman, 2019-20, Indian Woman Achiever Award (long list, literature category) by Asian Literary Society, WEAA Woman Achiever Award, 2020 ( medal and certificate), and FSIA The Real Super Woman, 2020, Award, Wordsmith Award, 2020 (Certificate of Excellence), Sagar Memorial Award, 2020 for Children's literature (Certificate of Excellence) both by Asian Literary Society. She is the winner of many poetic contests in both hindi and english language as Online Open national level Poetry Contest, 2018 organised by Poets , Artists Unplugged group, Shades Of Dream national level poetic contest, 2020 (rs 2000/-as prize) etc. Her poems have been published in many national and international anthologies.
