Description

This collection of contemplative poems represents a philosophical journey of exploration into the nature of love, desire and fulfilment, and the inevitable effects of time and aging. Time throws a spoke in the wheel of life by causing insecurity and attachment, the cause of many sadnesses. Teaching the mind to think differently, in discovering the timeless essence of one’s being, is one way of overcoming fear and sorrow, and discovering natural wholeness and contentment.

About the Author

A research scientist and PhD biochemist by training, the author crossed over to the arts and philosophy, to meet her calling. A desire for self-knowledge and freedom brought the author to the Vedanta, and an examination of the philosophy of the Upanishads and Bhagavad Gita, which has kept the author engrossed for many years. The author’s first book on the UPANISHADS (True Living Foundation 2012) is an in-depth and contemporary-style account of core human nature, and the way to freeing and reinstating it from the limiting influences of the survivalist ego.

Beautiful collection of must-read poems for thinkers

Sensitive and thought-provoking - nudges the reader into thinking and feeling more, for the life given. Enjoyed the poems on nature and time, deep yet accessible - the easy writing style is appealing. Would encourage all those who wish to explore and discover the richness of Vedantic thinking, to pick up this book. The author is a Vedanta master, with a UK University background - the mix of traditional and modern is seamless - a well- blended persona of thought for contemplation. Almost a new genre in philosophical poetry - with spiritual and psychological flashes of insight and understanding. Highly recommend this book
