This is first time that struggle of Savitribai Phule, the first lady teacher of India, scripted in novel form. She was pioneer of woman’s education in India but little known to girls today. The novel describes how facing volleys of cow dung and mud she ran first school of girls.
Saina is college going student and party girl, the character every girl would find her image in. The novel is weaved with the story of Savitri's fight against orthodox beliefs and customs around the questions that yelled out from Saina's heart.
